A leading company operating in the food processing industry and majoring in the production of high-quality products such as cereal, oats, biscuits and honey, is looking for a competent and experienced individual to join the team. Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the following position that has arisen in the company.
Inventory Controller (1 POST)
We are looking for an inventory controller responsible for managing a company’s inventory andensuresthat inventory levels are accurate and that inventory is kept in a cost effective manner. Ensure that inventory levels are in line with company goals and that inventory records are accurate and productsareproperly stocked.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Monitoring of stock levels
- Receipt of safe/secure storage of stocks
- Issuing of stocks
- Updating of inventory records
- Periodic reporting ( daily, weekly, monthly) Proactively identify, mitigate, track and report inventory issues
- Maintain inventory files of product and sales materials
- Maintains inventory records including item inventory, quantity at each level, locations andexpiration date
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- The ideal candidate must have at least a Diploma related to inventory management, supplychain and or accounting.
- At least 2 years working experience in the manufacturing set up especially food related.
- Computer literacy, proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of inventory control methods and techniques
- Be able to work under pressure and ability to adapt to changes in demand and supply
- Demonstrate ability to work well with internal and external stake holders
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a must.
