INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS INTERN x 1
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the above position based at Corporate Centre. The incumbent will report to the International Conventions Officer.

Duties (Responsibilities)

  • Assists International Conventions Officer in organizing and coordinating stakeholder meetings and other Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) related meetings including logistics and on-site support.
  • Prepares responses to notifications of all MEAs
  • Provides general administrative support to the International Conventions Officer, including scheduling meetings and maintaining records.
  • Collates data and statistics on various key issues related to MEAs and biodiversity.
    Assists in preparing and managing documentation and department activities, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Assists International Conventions Officer in developing concept notes on various biodiversity commemorations observed by the authority
  • Creates content for the website and media releases to raise the Authority’s profile in the implementation of MEAs.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Biological Science; Natural Resources Management; Wildlife Management; Environmental Science; or Environmental Law,
  • Good Communication skills – (written and oral),
  • Sound inter-personal skills,
  • Spatial Planning skills
  • Computer literacy in both excel and word,
