Helpdesk Assistant
Job Description
• Customer service-oriented Help desk specialist who will be the first point of contact for the customers, staff and suppliers contacting the helpdesk.
• Serving visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Answering, screening, and forwarding any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
• Ensure that all helpdesk responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
• Be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries, providing first level technical support to clients and properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
• Monitor work progress and update customers through to completion of work, ensuring that requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
• Utilise excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations.
• Contribute to the development of new works requests into quotations, requesting purchase orders and arranging work in consultation with the customer, and organising the recharge process.
• Liaising with service providers and supply vendors for purchases and quotations
• Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and key business partners and external suppliers in order to provide a professional customer service approach.
• Manage day to day administration and provide support for all assigned areas.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain required certifications for partnership with the key partners.
• Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time without altering the nature or level of responsibility.
Requirements
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
• Proven working experience in providing front office help desk support.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional appearance and excellent social skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
• Ability to organize, multitasks, prioritize and work under pressure.
• Customer service orientation
