Position: Healthcare Business Development Officer
Location: Harare
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Healthcare Business Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue in the healthcare sector. You’ll work closely with internal teams and healthcare providers to enhance your market presence, expand your customer base, and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze trends in the healthcare industry and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Lead Generation & Client Acquisition
- Identify, target, and engage potential clients in the healthcare sector.
- Develop relationships with healthcare providers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders.
- Present proposals and business solutions to prospective clients, showcasing value propositions.
- Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify up-selling or cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with key decision-makers and stakeholders to meet client needs effectively.
- Project Management & Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
- Monitor the progress of business development initiatives, ensuring they meet objectives and timelines.
- Track, analyze, and report performance metrics related to business development activities.
- Revenue Generation & Sales Performance
- Meet or exceed sales targets by closing deals and securing new contracts.
- Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and ensure customer retention.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Pharmaceutical.
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare market trends, regulations, and challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet and exceed targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
