An Information Communications Technology (ICT) company based in Harare is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Head of Sales.
Responsibilities and duties
1. Developing and implementing sales strategy.
2. Carrying out the sales budget and overseeing its implementation.
3. Carrying out business development initiatives.
4. Identifying and following up on all new opportunities and markets.
5. Introducing new innovative products and solutions in the market.
6. Up selling other products and solutions to existing clients.
7. Monitoring and evaluating performance of company products and taking appropriate action.
8. Analyzing and investigating price, demand and competition activities and taking appropriate action.
9. Setting sales key performance indicators for subordinates and making sure they work towards meeting them.
10. Provision of coaching and mentoring to subordinates
11. Ensuring the team has the right certifications and trainings.
12. Liaising with other departments to ensure that the Sales efforts get all the support.
13. Carrying out customer relationships activities to make sure that customer needs are satisfied.
14. Liaising with various original equipment manufacturers and vendors.
15. Coordinating vendor sessions, trainings, virtual and other activities.
1. Bachelors’ degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, ICT or related discipline.
2. Master’s degree / MBA will be an added advantage.
3. Post graduate qualification like IMM or equivalent.
1. At least 5 years at Senior level within Sales ideally Head of Sales or Senior Manager Sales etc.
2. At least 4 years experience within ICT, Telecommunications or related industries.
3. Must have track record of leading successful Sales Teams.
