Description
The Union Zimbabwe Trust is seeking a highly skilled Head Driver, to join our dynamic team to deliver on a new USAID 5-year funded Programme.
Responsibilities
- Driving responsibilities as directed by the line Supervisor and monitoring vehicle use at the Regional Offices.
- Taking charge and supervising drivers employed by UZT, ensuring compliance with rules, safety regulations, and organizational policies.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and regular maintenance and servicing of organizational vehicles.
- Preparing and overseeing the drivers’ work schedule, ensuring daily and weekly checks of vehicles and the correct filling in of vehicle logbooks.
- Performing regular drivers’ assessments and ensuring that safety procedures are followed religiously.
Qualifications
- Clean Class Two (2) driver’s license and a Defensive driving certificate
- 5 Ordinary level passes with 5 Years of proven experience in driving supported program activities.
- Ability to prepare monthly reports on vehicle usage, fuel consumption, repairs and maintenance records.
- Ability to plan for the transport needs of the organization, apportioning responsibilities to other drivers.
