Job Title: Handyman
Location: Chivhu
Job Summary
The handyman is responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the dairy farm. This includes fixing equipment, buildings, and infrastructure, as well as assisting with other farm-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, machinery, and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Building and Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and repair farm buildings, fences, gates, and other infrastructure to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Plumbing and Electrical Work: Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing light fixtures.
- Carpentry and Welding: Perform carpentry tasks, such as building and repairing wooden structures, and welding tasks, such as repairing equipment and machinery.
- Assisting with Farm Operations: Assist with daily farm operations, such as milking, feeding, and caring for livestock.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot problems with equipment and infrastructure and develop solutions to resolve them.
- Maintenance of 66 Rotary Parlour: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the 66 Rotary Parlour to ensure optimal performance.
- Electrical Fault Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical faults on farm equipment and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of mechanics and ability to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Electrical Experience: Experience in electrical work, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and develop solutions to problems.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills to work effectively with farm staff and management.
- Experience in Farm Repair Work: Previous experience in repair work at a farm, preferably a dairy farm.

Working Conditions
