Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:
MIDLANDS STATE UNIVERSITY ENTERPRISE DIVISION
POST A: GRAPHIC DESIGNER (1 POST)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or a related field such as Media and Society Studies, Creative Arts and Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or Digital Media.
- A minimum of one (1) year post-qualification experience in a similar or related role.
- A professional course in Graphic Design will be an added advantage.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CorelDRAW.
- A highly creative, innovative, and self-motivated individual with a strong passion for digital and print design.
- Demonstrated experience in front-end web design and managing social media visual content.
- Strong understanding of corporate branding, including development, management, and maintenance of brand identity.
- Basic knowledge of copy editing, script writing, and news gathering.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop front-end websites with a strong visual impact.
- Create layouts and artwork for publications, advertisements, and digital media content.
- Design signage, promotional materials, and product labels.
- Operate digital and vinyl printing machines effectively.
- Coordinate exhibitions and events, including the design of display stands.
- Assist in script/copy writing for visual content.
- Handle photography, videography, and post-production graphic editing.
- Meet production deadlines with minimal supervision.
