Job Title: Graduate Intern (Education, Community Engagement & Sponsorship Programme) x1
Location: Hwedza (Primary location)

Purpose of the Position:

The Education, Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programme (CESP) Intern will be working under the instruction of the Cluster Development Facilitator to implement Education and CESP interventions for improved child well-being in line with World Vision standards and guidelines. Interns will get the opportunity to learn, gain hands-on experience and positively impact the lives of children and communities.

Major responsibilities:

Support the implementation of Education and CESP project activities in compliance to laid out standards and procedures i.e. child protection, advocacy, faith & development and education interventions.
Identify project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines.
Assist Cluster DFs in overseeing schedules and milestone management.
Provide periodic project status updates for the CESP and Education Technical Programs to all stakeholders.
Work with all relevant stakeholders and community structures in identifying activities that could improve children’s learning.
Perform basic regular project monitoring, as per developed monitoring system for the project.
Maintain an accurate up-to-date field activity data for the Area Program.
Document resource needs, check for availability of resources and keep track of the project costs.
Contribute to the development of Monitoring & Evaluation systems, tools and processes at district level.
Organize and schedule CESP and Education meetings as required by the Area Program.
Contribute to the assessment, informing, and advising of any project or district context changes that might affect project implementation.

Knowledge and skills required:

Bachelor in Social Work, Development Studies or any related Social Sciences Degree.
Additional consideration will be given to any experience with implementing education, child protection, advocacy or development projects
Stakeholder and community engagement, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
A genuine desire and willingness to serve in rural communities.
Willingness to adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith
