Job Description
- Ensuring that all equipment complies with required specifications for safe operation
- Reliable mine wide Fire Equipment to include Fire Pumps and Suppression systems.
- Report any contraventions of the Mining (Management and Safety) Regulations, codes of practice, instructions, permissions, exemptions
- Implementation and management of (SHEQ) safety, health, environmental and quality standards
Qualifications
- At least 5 “O” Level passes including Mathematics, Science and English.
- National certificate in electronics or equivalent
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in the fire systems field.
Knowledge and Skills
- Familiar with the installation and repairs of Fire equipment
- Knowledge of networking of deluge suppression systems is an added advantage.
- Experience in alarms installations, maintenance and repairs will be an added advantage
