POSITION OVERVIEW
The Finance Director is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, providing strategic financial leadership, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance, as well as leading the finance team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Employee shall further to the below, fulfil all additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Director of the Company.
- Representing GetBucks Microfinance Bank on the Board of Directors of subsidiary and associate financial institutions, as well as on the Audit and Risk committee.
- Prepare summarized reports on all meetings to the Company and Managing Director.
- Ensure the Company’s interests are represented, and key decisions are appropriately escalated.
- Responsible for full monthly financial reporting on the Company.
- Preparation of the annual budget for the Company.
- Annual review of the financial performance of the Company.
- Preparation of quarterly Company board packs and any investor materials.
- Running the Company’s treasury activities
- Generate new ideas and concepts for the Company and ensure this is communicated appropriately to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance) or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning.
