Description
The Union Zimbabwe Trust is seeking a Finance & IT Assistant to join our dynamic team to deliver on a new United States Agency for International Development, 5-year funded Programme.
Responsibilities
Finance
- Reconcile and arrange for payment of creditors timeously.
- Be the custodian of both the Petty Cash and Operational Cash, producing and keeping an account record of cash movements through a monthly analysis.
- Prepare payment vouchers
- Capture accounting data onto the financial reporting software
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and funds reconciliation statement
- Process proposals and approval request forms
- Checking acquittal documents and clearing advances
Information Technology
- Process IT needs of the organisation
- Liaise with IT service providers for the repair of IT equipment
- Keep track of the renewal of software licenses.
- Attend to all ad hoc IT general needs of the office
Qualifications
- A degree in accounting or professional qualifications.
- Basic understanding of IT needs of a functional office.
- 2 years of working experience in an Accounting department.
