East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by nationals of Zimbabwe for the Finance and Administration Director position as part of EWMI’s proposal for the upcoming five-year USAID/Zimbabwe Young People for Integrity and Accountability (YPIA) Activity. The Activity will strengthen the ability of young people and key institutions at the sub-national level to improve good governance and public integrity. This is a long-term position based in Harare contingent on award and funding and offers a generous benefits package. The assignment is expected to start in February 2023.

DUTIES
The Finance and Administration Director will support the Chief of Party in the effective and efficient management of the project’s finances, administration, logistics, and human resources.
The Director will be responsible for the Activity’s internal financial controls, fraud prevention, and overall compliance with USAID and EWMI policies and regulations, including oversight of grantees and partners on their financial reporting responsibilities.
The Director will also ensure effective and efficient administrative support of the project.
The Director will supervise the work of the Finance Officer and is expected to work on routine and daily financial activities inclusive of preparing vouchers, updating online accounting system and similar.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, operations/administration, accounting, compliances and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities or
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, operations/administration, accounting, compliances and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities

Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with USG financial reporting and compliance requirements
Expertise in providing advisory guidance on financial and administrative matters
Strong experience managing human resource, administrative, and operational systems
Demonstrated experience in fraud prevention, financial compliance, and internal controls
Excellent language skills in English and Shona or Ndebele.
