The following vacancies have arisen within TIMB and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in these positions on a permanent employment basis. The successful candidates will be based in Manicaland, Mashonaland West and Mashonaland Central
Reporting to the TECHNICAL OFFICER, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
DUTIES
Grower assessment for registration approval
Farmer training and stakeholder information dissemination
Loan recovery
Monitoring adherence to schedules and statutory requirements including planting dates, stalk destruction and others
Ensuring that afforestation programs are carried out
Collection of geo-referenced data for infrastructure and fields
Execution and implementation of all organisational business initiatives
Execution and implementation of all sustainable tobacco production initiatives
Monitor all tobacco contractors for adherence to all compliance requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture or studying towards a Degree in Agriculture or relevant degree
2-3 years of relevant working experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/ COMPETENCES
A clean class 3 driver’s licence is a must
It will be mandatory for all successful candidates to undergo the TIMB tobacco classification training programme
