About Us
World Mental Resilience Programs (WMRP) is a registered and licensed mental health private practice consultancy leading the sustainable availability, accessibility, affordability and embracement of sustainable mental health interventions for anyone and everyone leaving no place and no one behind. We offer mental health solutions, systems, programs, policies, strategies and action plans through ethical, evidence based, contextual and culturally competent research and implementation. World Mental Resilience Programs (WMRP) leads and chairs the pillar (thematic area) focusing in the Provision of Psychological Interventions in Zimbabwe under the National Mental Health Partners coordinated by the Government of Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care and the World Health Organization (WHO) as of September 2023 to present day.
At WMRP we tailor design, develop, implement and review mental health literacy empowerment interventions, mental health breakdowns prevention interventions, mental health crisis risk reduction interventions, mental health crisis harm reduction interventions and mental health resilience building interventions for individuals, groups, families, learning institutions, religious and cultural institutions, public and private sector companies, organisations and agencies globally. Our dedicated research and implementation teams are a combination of expert skills from registered and licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, counsellors, life coaches and mentors, sociologists as well as development practitioners.
Our Philosophy is that anyone can have a conversation that may save a life, therefore everyone should learn to know how to have that life-saving conversation. Our Belief is that; if there are to be greater gains in sustainable prevention, early intervention, self-help, and support of others in the community, then we need a society in which basic knowledge and practical skills of mental health literacy are more widely distributed. Our Greater Emphasis is on increasing public knowledge and practical skills of Mental Health Crisis Support Practices® (MHCSP™) and on empowering people experiencing disabling symptoms as the person affected by the symptoms (either personally or through close contact) is seen as the primary agent in symptom management.
