Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the position of Field Officer (Grade 11) that has arisen in our organization on a 1-year fixed term employment contract basis. The successful candidate will be based in Mashonaland West.
REPORTS TO: TECHNICAL OFFICER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading horticultural production activities • Ensure adequate inputs are securely stocked and effectively managed i.e., seeds, fertilizers,
pesticides, fuel and other supplies.
Ensure inputs stock drawdowns are properly recorded and monitored
Update project stakeholders on key field operation activities
Implement and monitor day-to-day activities in liaison with project stakeholders ie, implementing plans and schedules for planting, crop management, harvesting and crop marketing.
Develop a protocol/handbook on the production of export horticultural crops . Keep proper financial records for reporting and audit purposes.
Assist in overseeing all operations and asset use, maintenance, and safekeeping. ⚫ Produce weekly and monthly activity reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A diploma in Agriculture, Crop Science or Horticulture
Prior experience in farm management and horticulture is an added advantage
2-3 years relevant working experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
A clean class 3 driver’s licence is a must.
