EXTENSION AND INTERPRETATION ATTACHEE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the above position in the Community Liaison and Extension Services at Harare Regional Office. The incumbent will report to Community Liaison and Outreach Officer.
Duties (Responsibilities)
Assist with provision of extension and interpretation services in and outside the Parks and Wildlife Estate
Assist to design, formulate and implement Extension and Interpretation Programmes and Work Plans for the Region
Assist to facilitate the design, planning and setting up of information centres, cultural centres, interpretive centres in schools, relevant community areas and other strategic locations
Assist in designing, planning and carrying out relevant research activities to support and strengthen the Conservation Education and Environmental Sustainability Awareness Programme
Assist in planning and coordinating the organization of and participate at conservation workshops, meetings, seminars, shows, exhibitions and displays, including the manning of interpretive centres, shows, trade fairs, business expos, functions and other relevant fora;
Assist to develop and implement conservation education and environmental awareness campaigns using appropriate platforms, including hosting of relevant competitions, quizzes, essay writing, debates, dramas and poems, in schools and suitable community groups;
Qualifications
Studying towards a Degree in Wildlife and Protected Area Management/ Development Studies or a related field
Sound communication skills
Computer literacy
