VACANCY: ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER: GRADE 10 X 2
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, self-motivated and task oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within the Health Services Department.
THE PERSON SPECIFICATION
Degree in Environmental Science and Health.
Good English Proficiency
Good public relations skills
Current registration with the Environmental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
Computer literacy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be reporting to the Environmental Health Manager and will be responsible for:
Inspection of trading and non-trading premises
Disease prevention and control
Vector control
Administering the review and approval of trade licensing in line with city regulations
Solid waste management
Water and food quality monitoring
Supervision of subordinates
