JOB PURPOSE
The position exists to ensure maintenance, upgrading of existing electrical
systems and backup power in the POTRAZ Offices and sites in a timeous and
most effective manner.
The position reports to the Estates and Administration Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Electrical installations in new buildings which may come up within the POTRAZ
HQ during the tenure of the contract.
•Ensures quality control on installations.
•Electrical maintenance of water pumps, pump controls, stand by generators and
security lighting etc
•Electrical installations and maintenance which may be undertaken within the
POTRAZ properties.
•Re-route wires and relocate lights/lighting switches affected by changes in Office
arrangement and relocation.
•Maintaining of commercial catering equipment and other kitchen equipment.
•Maintaining of Air conditioning at POTRAZ properties.
•Works closely with the Estates officer in maintenance and repair works for the
building and offices
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Class One electrician or apprenticeship training.
•Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering.
•5 “O” Level passes including Maths and English.
•Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience
•Clean class 4 Drivers License

•Self-motivated and self-starter with an excellent attitude.
•Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
•Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
•Excellent skills in report writing.
•Unquestionable integrity.
