Operational Planning
- Plan sequence execution of work
- Makes informed technical decisions
- Stop the operation if the working conditions are unsafe
- Provide technical advice to the foremen
- Work area is maintained to required housekeeping standards.
- All equipment complies with required specifications for safe operation.
- All safety devices are operational and in use.
- Down time of units is minimized.
- Checklists and inspections are up to date and accurate
- Assessment of employee competency as required
- Inspections of completed work delegated and work in progress
- Maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Stop all unsafe activities, practices, and machinery
- Adhere to all legal requirements as per the Mining Management and Safety Regulations SI 109 of 1990 and SAZ Wiring Rules
- Medium/High voltage competency as required
Work Management
- Execute and close-out work as allocated by the Electrical FLM
- Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required.
- Work orders, checklists and inspections are up to date and accurate
- Sub-ordinate support to the Plant Manager
- Stop the operation if the working conditions are unsafe
- Work is performed to ‘Zero Tolerance’ principles.
- Be responsible for the proper discipline of subordinates.
- Ensuring that the process plant remains fully operational
- Employee effectiveness
Feedback
- Report possible defects and plan the action needed to rectify the risk or defect
- Report any contraventions of the Mining Regulations, codes of practice, instructions, permissions, exemptions.
