NetOne Cellular (Pvt) Limited seeks to recruit highly motivated, outstanding and results oriented individuals to fill the above-mentioned positions. The incumbent shall be responsible to the Electrician.
To assist in AC/DC electrical installations and repairs of mobile telecommunications equipment, aviation lights installa-tion and maintenance as per CAAZ regulations, site energisation of sites running permanently on generators and work with ZETDC in ensuring urgent fault resolution at the base stations, electrical installations/wiring and maintenance at shops and offices throughout the Zone.
DUTIES
Assists the Electrician in carrying out preventive and corrective power plant maintenance on base stations, offices and shops.
Assists in analyzing alarm log details and develops corrective measures.
Assists in the installation of electrical power plants and associated equipment in the mobile network, offices and shops.
Assists in maintaining and updating of records, system drawings, station files so as to ensure traceable records for all activities.
REQUIREMENTS
5 Ordinary Level Passes induding English and Mathematics.
National Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
Trade tested skilled worker class three (Minimum) up to class one journey man certificate.
Three years’ experience in electrical power system maintenance with knowledge in control systems, distribution systems, UPS, rectifiers, generators and ATS.
Telecommunications Sector knowledge is an added advantage.
Clean class four (4) driver’s license with at least two years driving experience and valid defensive driving certificate.
Competencies
Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
General knowledge of alternators and control panels.
Knowledge of safety and health regulations when working with electrical plants and equipment.
