Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC)

Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) is an autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. It is an internationally accredited examinations board. ZIMSEC is an examinations board responsible for assessment, evaluation and documentation of the academic readiness, learning progress, and skill acquisition of students at primary and secondary school levels in Zimbabwe. The Council is inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons for the above-mentioned vacant positions that have risen.
Reporting to Production Planner the purpose of the Job is to ferry material and staff.
DUTIES
Drive Council vehicles, big or small, as instructed by the superiors. This includes driving staff members to and from their places and ferrying sensitive examination materials from point A to point B anywhere around the country.
Must be prepared to work away from home during Council examinations peak periods and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
Assist in the maintenance of vehicles in areas such as when vehicles are due for service and report any mechanical faults on the vehicles to the Transport Officer for immediate attention.
Daily checking the vehicles for water and oil levels.
General cleaning and fuelling of the vehicles.
Any other duties as assigned by the superiors.
REQUIREMENTS
Clean Class 1 or 2.
Valid Swift, Bulwark, Cargo Carrier, ZUPCO or any other equivalent heavy vehicle (articulated or bus) training certificate.
Valid Government Authority is an added advantage.
At least three O Levels and a full O level Certificate, including English Language, is an added advantage.
Any other qualification such as Transport and Logistics, Mechanics, etc. Certificates in such discipline an added advantage.
Five years driving experience.
Prospective drivers shall be between 30 and 50 years of age.
Must be well groomed.
Good communication skills.
