VACANCY NOTICE: DRIVER/MESSENGER

National Employment Council for the Medical and Allied Industry invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position that has arisen at our Head Office.

Job Specifications

  • The main purpose of the job is to provide a secure and timely driving and messengerial duties to the Council.
  • The specific duties and responsibilities include, inter alia:
  • Collects and delivers mail and documents safely and confidentially in an efficient manner. Collects an acknowledgement of receipt each time a document is delivered.
  • Keeps track of all Council vehicle insurance and licence renewals.
  • Maintains and carries out pre-use vehicle checks all the time.
  • Reports on and what kind of maintenance is required.
  • Mans the reception and switchboard area as and when necessary, in which case they will receive and direct traffic appropriately.
  • Observes all national driving safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintains the kitchen clean and orderly all the time.
  • Cleans utensils and culinary after each use.

Person Specifications
The suitable candidate should meet the following minimum qualifications, competencies and experience:

  • 5 ‘O’ levels including English Language
  • Mature disposition with at least 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Switchboard operation experience is a distinct advantage.
