The new NSSA conducts its business in an honest, accountable, and transparent manner and we seek to recruit like-minded individuals in the above-mentioned area.
Reporting to the Systems Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for modifying and creating new database objects and ensuring that databases are performing at optimal levels.
DUTIES
Database tuning, monitoring, and query optimization.
Creating and modifying tables, views, and functions.
Developing stored procedures. Implementing database development and security best practices.
Importing data into SQL databases.
Developing and implementing database security policies.
Using SQL data warehouses.
Keeping objects and schemas consistent across multiple databases and servers.
Assisting the Database analyst in database documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
At least 1 year experience with SQL Server Databases.
Certification in SQL Server databases is an added advantage.
Key Competencies and Characteristics.
Ability to follow and fix data intensive business applications.
Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.
Strong Problem Solving & trouble shooting.
