A local based Organization involved in youth development with economic, social, andemotional soft skills through vocational training, seeks to fill the following vacant position

Cutting and DesignTeacher (Vocational Skills Training) x2 Harare

Summary of Position:

The Cutting and Design Teacher is responsible for coordinating, planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive training and personal development program for students.

Qualifications, personal attributes and expected competencies:

  • Diploma in Education majoring in Cutting and Design or Clothing Technology from a recognized institution preferably a Technical Teachers’ Training College or
  • Experience in delivering training online will be an added advantage.
  • Diploma in Technical Vocational Education from a polytechnic or
  • National Certificate in Clothing Technology plus a Further Education Trainer’s Certificate (FETC) or a Further Education Trainer’s Diploma (FETD) from a polytechnic.
  • Skilled Worker Class 1 (SW1) or Skilled Worker Class 2 (SW2) Certificate.
  • Counselling skills and ability to counsel the trainees.
  • A higher teaching/training qualification, and trade testing examination work experience and involvement will be an added advantage.
  • A mature and exemplary person who can be a role model to the trainees.
  • A minimum of 3 years active Cutting and Design Training experience including Cutting and Design industrial work where applicable.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
