Reporting to the Registrar, the University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its team as a Corporate Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. The position plays a crucial role in driving the strategic planning and monitoring processes within the institution.
Qualifications and Experience
- A foundation Bachelor’s degree in Planning or Strategic Management, Business Management, Business Development or Entrepreneurship or Monitoring and Evaluation;
- A Masters degree in the above fields;
- At least five (5) years of relevant post qualification experience;
- Proven experience in corporate planning, strategic management or a similar role;
- Experience of working in a Higher and Tertiary institution is a pre-requisite.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinating data collection, analysis, monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the University in relation to the Strategic Plan;
- Develop and implement a robust monitoring system to track the University’s performance against established goals and KPIs;
- Preparing performance reports and presenting findings to senior management;
- Identifying areas of improvement and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness;
- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the University Strategic Plan;
- Conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential threats to the University’s objectives;
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement risk management processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies;
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including senior management and departmental heads to facilitate the strategic planning process;
- Organising quarterly Strategic Plan Performance reviews;
- Organising University Strategic Plan and Reviews;
- Producing and disseminating statistical data and planning information relevant to management for decision-making within the University;
- Preparing policy briefs and progress reports for management decision making;
- Preparing Results Based Management Workshops or any such workshops and keeping records of the same for institutional memory;
- Providing secretarial service to the Strategic Planning Meetings;
- Compiling the annual institutional review reports;
- Ensuring that appropriate information, communication activities and programmes related to the strategic plan are carried out;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Registrar.

- Knowledge of financial principles and budgeting processes;
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
