Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Core Network Engineer at Gugu Consultants located in Harare. As a Core Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s core network infrastructure. Your day-to-day tasks will include designing and implementing network solutions, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring network performance and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s network infrastructure needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Core Network Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.)
Experience with network equipment and tools (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and network security
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Good communication and interpersonal skills
