The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning and optimizing outbound cement deliveries for the Southern Region, ensuring cost-efficiency through effective transport scheduling using the TMS system
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics and Operations Research , or a related field.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport planning for all outbound cement loads for the Southern Region, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. (Using the TMS system to optimally schedule cement dispatches, assigning them to appropriate trips and vehicles.)
- Source and manage third-party transport providers to execute outbound cement deliveries.
- Optimise transport services to reduce costs.
- Maintain essential master data elements in the TMS system, such as vehicles, delivery locations, restrictions, and turnaround times.
- Outbound trip execution and trip tracking – Ensure that dispatches are delivered on time and all trips progress through all relevant stages in the TMS system, ultimately generating the appropriate financial transactions.
- Reporting on various transport KPIs daily, weekly and monthly.
