NSSA is an organisation undergoing a transformation journey to position itself as a modern and relevant entity that delivers real value to its members through responsive social security services. In addition, we strive to stimulate economic activity, generate foreign currency and create jobs for the benefit of Zimbabweans. The new NSSA conducts its business in an honest, accountable, and transparent manner and we seek to recruit like-minded individuals in the above-mentioned area.
Reporting to the Systems Analyst, the successful candidate will develop programmes and applications and maintain them for use by users to ensure business continuity.
DUTIES
Analyse and diagnose problems to effect computer oriented solutions and document the procedures.
Analyse existing systems in order to identify new possible requirements to enhance the system.
Develop and code programmes for use by individual users and ensure programmes are error free.
Train end users on newly developed software applications to enable them to use them efficiently.
Provide support to technicians and business users on system applications to enable them to work efficiently.
Produce programme documentation for user guides to ensure continuity and transfer knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS
A Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
Certification in Databases is an added advantage.
Ability to develop user capabilities.
Team Orientation. Sound knowledge of appropriate IS software.
Good communication skills.
Good analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to ensure data security.
Ability to optimize Data Base Performance.
Ability to plan for security and contingencies.
Ability to integrate and apply databases.
