We have an exciting opportunity for a Commodity Trader to join the Let’s Trade Team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading market research and analysis on commodities, gathering intelligence, and producing detailed reports.
Building and sustaining strong relationships with key clients and distributors.
Scheduling meetings with new customers to negotiate sales, prices, contracts, and payment terms.
Planning and executing procurement activities to ensure timely and budget-friendly acquisitions.
Managing accounts and advising customers on delivery schedules and after-sale service.
Overseeing the timely procurement of commodities by monitoring progress.
Ensuring the quality of received products meets user specifications.
Keeping thorough records of all procurement processes.
Preparing and submitting reports as required by management.
Procuring consumables, raw materials, and packaging materials efficiently.
Maintaining necessary buffer stocks.
Ensuring all official documentation is accurately completed and authorised.

REQUIREMENTS

A Degree in Agriculture or equivalent, 2 to 5 years’ experience in commodity trading brokerage.
Experience in transport and logistics is an added advantage.
Knowledgeable in both local and international markets and have prior relationships within the markets.
