Econet Insurance is looking for a competent Claims Officer to join its team. The main purpose of the role is to expedite effective and efficient processing of all short term insurtech claims in line with set processes and procedures.
Appoints appropriate assessor or conduct desktop assessment where required in line with the claim events described in received documentation.
Recording of claims KYC details on operating system and registers.
Processes authorization of repairs communication to repairers/ suppliers in line with approved cost of repairs and communicates the same to customer to ensure expedition of works to be done.
Reviews satisfaction notes received after repairs and confirm satisfaction with customer before processing payment to repairer/ supplier/ customers.
Registers all reinsurance recoveries and/ or third-party recoveries in line with set processes and procedures.
Ensures all salvages surrendered are collected and delivered to designated safekeeping premises and that all documentation related to the salvage has been received and authenticated.
Liaises with auctioneers and breakers on the sale of salvages to ensure that sales are conducted in line with signed SLAs and values recovered recorded.
Ensures payment is made to assessors/ repairers/ suppliers within set timelines after validation of completion of all necessary checks.
Flags any anomalies identified in the claims received, claims documentation received, assessment report received or any other issues arising within the claim processing cycle to mitigate against revenue leakages and reputational damage.
Provides timeous feedback to all key stakeholders involved in the claim cycle timeously and effectively to maintain market leadership.
