Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Translator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating written texts from English to Chinese and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and high-quality output.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate written texts from English to Chinese and vice versa, including documents, reports, and marketing materials.
- Edit and proofread translations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Conduct research to understand the context, terminology, and cultural nuances of the source text.
- Develop and maintain terminology databases to ensure consistency in translation.
- Provide cultural consulting services to ensure that translations are culturally relevant and sensitive.
- Manage translation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure translation accuracy and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of translation experience.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
- Excellent translation, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
