DUTIES
Organize and supervise the provision of secretarial services to all Council Committees. This involves inter-alia;
a) Preparing and distributing agendas and notices of mayoral functions, council or committee meetings; and
b) Preparing and distributing minutes of the proceedings of Council and its committees.
Follow up the implementation of Council resolutions.
Initiate the preparation and review of Council’s by-laws and regulations to keep abreast with contemporary laws and national policies. •
Ensure provision of adequate security services to all Council depat tuients through municipal police, fire and rescue services.
Handling all the legal affairs of the Municipality.
Ensure maintenance of an efficient records management system for Council.
Overseeing the total human resources functions such as recruitment, selection and placements as well as industrial relations.
Any other functions and duties that may be assigned by the Town Clerk or Council.
REQUIREMENTS
Have an approved University Degree in law or Social Sciences and a relevant Masters Degree.
At least five (5) years post qualification experience in a Local Authority environment.
Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
