CATERING SUPERVISOR: SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT; CATERING SERVICES

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:
Ensure that all food is of high quality and served in a timely manner.
Plan the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients
Oversee all kitchen and Dining Halls, and other related operations.
Coordinate activities with other sections like restaurants, takeaways, cafes,
Students Dining Halls, Functions/events/banqueting and senior management to
ensure customer service expectations are met.
Coordinate and supervise on logistical needs to ensure on time delivery of
services to functions and outlets.
Ensure that the duty rosters for various outlets operations are organized in line
with level of activity, expectations and plans for each outlet/activity centre.
Coordinate kitchen staff and assisting them as required.
Train staff under your leadership across the department on food and beverages
production and service
Take stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
Ensure Food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchens, Dining Halls and
other related operational areas are always maintained.
Create and engineer Innovative Menu that showcase the hall marks of Education
5.0 in practice.
Keep up to date with Catering and Hospitality industry trends through research &
implementation.
Ensure customer feedback tools and measurements in place are continuously
gathered, analyzed shared and acted upon with other management team
members.
Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts or HND In Hotel
and Catering Management, HND in Professional Cookery/ Culinary Arts/ Hospitality
Operations or Food and Beverages Management or equivalent.
Applicants must possess 5 O’ Level passes including English and Mathematics
At least 2 years supervisory /management experience in the catering industry
Expert in multitasking.
With good communication skills and great leadership and interpersonal skills
