CALF SUPERVISOR
Location: Chivhu
Reports to: Dairy and Herd Health Manager
Job Summary:
Oversee the care and management of calves on the farm, ensuring optimal health, growth, and development. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work effectively with farm staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure the health and well-being of calves, providing appropriate nutrition, hydration, and shelter.
- Maintain accurate records of calf health, growth, and development.
- Identify and address health issues in calves, working with veterinarians and other farm staff as needed.
- Manage the weaning process and transition calves to subsequent stages of growth and development.
- Work closely with other farm staff, including animal health teams, to ensure optimal calf health and productivity.
- Produce regular reports on calf health, growth, and productivity.
Qualifications and Education:
- Diploma or Certificate in Animal Science/Health
- 5 years and above experience in calf care and management

Salary $400 before tax
