Job Description
EcoCash Holdings is looking for a vibrant Business Development Officer to join its Maisha Health Fund team. The main purpose of the position is to assist in driving the growth of Maisha Health Fund’s customer base and market share through the acquisition of new business and clientele from new and existing products, new and existing markets as well as new and existing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Identifies and engages stakeholders that will help grow the business. eg: Ecocash Holdings subsidiary companies, Government, Service Providers.
Signs Healthcare Service Providers and maintains the channel network and ensures Healthcare Service Provider availability as per customer distribution.
Assists in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities with prospective customers.
Develops Insights from Trend Analysis Reports and Recommends a list of innovations (Ideas) and annual roll out plans for inclusion in the Business.
Provides input into the quarterly business development / sales performance and makes recommendations aligned to overall business strategy.
Provides input to the Product Concept Notes in liaison with the Product Officer and other departments (e.g. Claims ) and submits for approval by the Business Development Manager.
Produces product uptake performance reports weekly and recommends interventions where necessary.
Monitors performance of the various Sales Channels (USSD, Sales Force and Web portal) in liaison with business analysts. Sales Channel Performance reports
Required skills
2 – 4 years’ experience in business development and proven record of innovations with some work done in the Insurance industry.
Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance will be an added advantage
Experience in the Health Insurance and or Insurance Broking space will be an added advantageDegree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
