Job Description
EcoCash Holdings is looking for a competent Business Development Manager to join its Maisha Health Fund team. The main purpose of the position is to drive the growth of Maisha Health Fund’s customer base and market share through the acquisition of new business and clientele from new and existing products, new and existing markets as well as new and existing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and updates Business Development Strategy for Maisha Health Fund (Pvt) Ltd in line with the overall business strategy.
Initiates new business development plans from existing and new channel partners.
Reviews Sales ‘Go-to-market’ strategies for new products at pilot and commercial launch stage.
Monitors the Healthcare Service Provider channel network and ensures Healthcare Service Provider availability as per customer distribution.
Research and monitor competitor products and activities and recommends and initiates activities which give business competitive edge.
Develops Insights from Trend Analysis Reports and Recommends a list of innovations (Ideas) and annual roll out plans for inclusion in the Business Plan.
Proposes Concept Paper in liaison with the Underwriting department and other departments (e.g. Information Systems) and submits for approval.
Evaluates and reviews of product design and market readinessReviews and consolidates sales team (team leaders, agents and independent contractors) performance reports in line with Service Level AgreementsBrand resonance with the retail segment through tailored events and corporate social responsibility.
Required skills
3-4 years’ experience in the business development preferably in a health insurance or general insurance setting.
A Degree in Insurance and Risk Management or Actuarial Science
A relevant vocational or professional qualification Sales qualification will be key
Experience in the Health Insurance and or Insurance Broking space will be an added advantage
