Summary
Block man will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality meat and services is provided to our customers.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 5 O’levels passes including English and Maths
At least 2 years proven history in catering operations/ meat industry
Skills and Competences
Ability to use hand tools, stand or work for extended periods, lift heavy items and work in cold environment.
Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and special cuts
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to have a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
Cutting, grinding and preparation of meat for sale.
Carrying out basic cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Unloading and loading of tasks
Preparing cuts for weighing, packing and sale or further processing.
Performing quality inspections on meat and other products.
Ensuring stock levels in the cold rooms and in fridges are adequate.
Recommending quantities and type of meat to be ordered to the Supervisor.
Maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Ensuring that products are correctly priced
Receiving of goods and checking on quantities, quality and price.
