Auto-Mechanic: Freightliner Trucks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto-Mechanic to join our team. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to
ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
The types of vehicles and engines are:
• PACCAR, Detroit DD15, Detroit DD13, Cummins N14 select plus, Cummins M11,
Mercedes-Benz MBE4000, Freightliner FLD, Freightliner Colombia, Freightliner
Cascadia and DAF CF85 Euro5
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnosis: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical,
and technical issues with vehicles utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to
pinpoint problems accurately.
2. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter
replacements, and fluid checks to keep vehicles in good condition.
3. Repairs – Fault and Defects: Execute repairs on faulty components, systems, or
defects identified during diagnosis.
4. Cost Management: Efficiently manage repair costs by accurately estimating
repair expenses and sourcing cost-effective solutions.
5. Planning and Organization: Plan and organize repair tasks according to priority
and urgency to minimize vehicle downtime.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities meet industry
standards and manufacturer specifications.
7. Workshop Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe
working environment for oneself and colleagues.
8. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all diagnostic findings, repair actions,
and maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Class 1 Artisan in Auto-Electrics
• 5 years proven experience as an Auto-Mechanic or similar role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Freightliner Trucks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of automotive systems.
