Job Advert Summary
An Auto Electrician with five (5) years post apprenticeship experince in a mining or related environment is required to conduct diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical systems in trackless mobile machines in a timely and cost-effective manner to the required standard. Strong trouble shooting skills and knowledge of caterpillar machines will be an added advantage.
Minimum Requirements
5 O-Levels including English, Mathematics and a Science subject.
At least a National Certificate in Auto Electrics
Apprenticeship trained.
Class two driver’s License.
Five years post apprenticeship experience in the maintenance of trackless mobile equipment (Hauling, Front End Loader, Excavator, Drill rig, Dozer, etc)
Must be able to carry out maintenance work on light motor vehicles.
Must be computer literate.
Working knowledge of CMMS, SAP and other relevant systems.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform proper job and spares planning as per set standards.
Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and installations on mobile equipment, generators, and light motor vehicles as per planned and unplanned work orders in a timely and cost-effective manner to the correct standard.
Perform periodic, scheduled Asset Health Checks and take appropriate action,
Complete job cards correctly and accurately to time, asset classes, sub-classes and failure causes.
Carry out standby duties and promptly react to breakdowns and callouts.
Liaise and interact professionally with external service providers and contractors as required.?
Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and standards
