About the Job
The role of the Assistant Chief of Staff is at Assistant Managerial level support to the Chief of Staff in achieving the departments strategic objectives regarding all clients and reporting for the department.
To provide administrative support to the Chief of Staff to ensure the effective and timely management of various strategic documents and reports related records, programs/projects and services.
The ideal candidate will have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate operational demands.
Must have demonstrated the ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between the Chief of Staff and other constituencies, both internal and external.
Must have the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate must also be able to work effectively in a fast paced and project-driven environment with constantly changing requirements. You will require energy, excellent engagement skills.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Supports the Chief of Staff (COS) in planning, directing, managing and coordinating day-to-day business activities, and strategy related projects.
Assists in maintaining the Strategic Plan, organises and arranges strategy sessions and ad-hoc analysis.
Provides assistance for the budget input process.
Supports the preparation of report back & roadshows, various business speeches & presentations.
Based on expertise and experience, advises and supports COS in identification and implementation of innovative solutions to issues arising within Audit.
Coordinates with external event organisers with logistics, and communicates.
Contributes to thought leadership initiatives and shares knowledge and expertise with client, Service Area, colleagues and teams
Interacts with the Global office, local and Africa wide committees, and other constituencies on behalf of the COS.
Monitors planning, delivery by team and provides guidance on the distribution of resources in line with strategy and client expectations.
Builds strong professional relationships across delegated service line/s to understand business needs in area of responsibility
Manages complex risk issues within sphere of responsibility ensuring issues are rectified timeously.
Qualifications
Academic Qualifications
Qualification – Registered Chartered Accountant
Minimum 5 years working experience 3 of which were in a client facing role
Data analytics will be a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.
