Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt) Limited (ZIMPLATS) is the largest platinum group metals producer in Zimbabwe. It owns and operates the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC), Ngezi Concentrator and the Ngezi Underground Mines.
This position will be part of the dynamic team based at SMC reporting to the Project Manager.
Department And Location: Technical and Projects Management (Base Metal Refinery)
Tenure: Twenty-Four (24) Months.
Monitor performance and recommend improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for the critical performance indicators.
Preparation and maintenance of project work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules and perform critical path analysis.
Scope management – to ensure all technical changes are reflected in the project documentations. assist and support projects change management process.
To prepare monthly reports, lookaheads and all required project documentation.
Perform earned value management, conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective action. Collect actual project data and weekly accurate progress updates.
Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance.
Plan for high risk project strategic initiatives and ensure correct duration estimated tasks.
Perform schedule analysis, recommend and implement corrective actions.
Recognized qualification in Project Management and/or engineering related fields.
Additional qualification in Finance or Business Management provides an added advantage.
Project planning and execution control experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment
Proficiency in Office Packages and ERP software.
Proficiency in project management software and application (MS Projects & Primavera) is a must
Working knowledge of project financial evaluation and reporting models.
Experience in developing, updating, tracking and reporting on project schedules for capital projects.
Proven attention to detail and ability to plan, perform, review and prepare project reports.
Ability to design and develop dashboards for monitoring and control.
At least a year experience in project performance monitoring and control is an added advantage.
A self-starter with excellent interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate in a dynamic project environment.
Good communication and report writing skills.
Meticulous to attention to detail, reliable, and able to deliver within deadlines.
