The following vacancy has arisen within Group legal Services and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the vacancy.

DUTIES
Job Specification Reporting to the Group Compliance Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Checking that Group companies are registered with the fiscal authorities and annual returns and tax computations for Group companies are submitted annually on due dates.
Communicating findings to management as the assignments progress and ensure that there in compliance with relevant statutes to mitigate sanctions.
Checking and confirming that Group companies implement policies; procedures and internal controls on handling suspicious transactions.

Compiling draft compliance reports highlighting the observation, risk implication, give appropriate recommendations and submits to management for responses.
Quantifying the compliance risk and documents existing weaknesses with the current system/procedure.
Carrying out annual review of SOPS and updating CRMPs.
Assisting with the review of AMLAFT procedure manual and the training of staff on the same.
Assisting with the compiling of quarterly compliance reports for submission to the Audit Committees.

REQUIREMENTS

Person Specification
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Fiscal Studies.
Being a member of the Institute of Tax Accountants will be a distinctive advantage
2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Must have experience working on Microsoft Office.

High energy with the ability to handle multiple levels of authority and staff.
