Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt) Limited (ZIMPLATS) is the largest platinum group metals producer in Zimbabwe. It owns and operates the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC), Ngezi Concentrator and the Ngezi Underground Mines.
This position will be part of the dynamic team based at SMC reporting to the Project Manager.

Department And Location: Technical And Projects Management (Base Metal Refinery)
Tenure: Twenty-four (24) Months
DUTIES
Inspecting construction work for-conformity to drawings and specifications.
Identifying defects and prescribing corrections.
Monitoring progress and reporting to construction managers, architects and clients.
Keeping detailed records of work.
Liaising with contractors, engineers and surveyors.
Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal requirements are met.
Compile daily development reports.
Prepare monthly reports.
Prepare and update major projects meeting tracker.
Prepare major projects steercom minutes.
Housekeeping and enforcement of the Five Point Safety System, Platinum Rules, Safe.
Production Rules and requirements of the company’s Business Management Systems policy.
REQUIREMENTS
Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management degree.
3 years relevant experience.
Good understanding of SHED standards and procedures. Good communication, report writing and organisational skills.
Must have knowledge of mine management and safety regulation.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Engineering supervision experience within mining/heavy industry or related construction works.
Analytical thinking skills.
High numerical ability.
Attention to detail.
