ASSISTANT BUTCHER: SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT; CATERING SERVICES
(1 POST)

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:
 Sharpen and adjust knives and cutting equipment.
 Receive, inspect and store meat upon delivery.
 Cut, debone or grind pieces of meat.
 Weigh meat
 Cut or prepare meats to specifications.
 Store meat in freezers at required temperature.
 Issue out approved orders.
 Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health, safety and sanitization standards.
 Carry out periodic stock takes.
 Report any malfunctioning equipment to superiors immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

 A minimum of five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language.
 At least 2 years working experience in a butchery, abattoir or related food industry.
