ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER
Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are required to fill the above-mentioned vacant
position.
DUTIES
- The candidate will be an assistant to the branch manager, supervise the branch staff, manage inventory, ordering of stock as well as active selling.
- Responsible for overseeing supervisors and staff working in all areas of the shop and ensuring they are performing their duties well
- Responsible for discipline of these staff members
- Liaison between shop administration, tills, floor and receiving areas
- Responsible for seeing shelf conditions
- Analysis of the existing model’s suitability – relative to sales, space, supply and season – and recommendation for model changes
- Coordinates stock take preparations
- Responsible for preparing the stock take sheet register
- Assist in the self-audit process
- Responsible for reporting of price and / or other inventory anomalies
- Participates in the active selling of the products to the customers
- Interfaces with customers at all levels
- Responsible for the shop security (alternative key handling)
- Responsible for self / staff hygiene and staff appearance
- Responsible for tools maintenance and issue of protective clothing
Qualifications and experience
- At least 3-5 years’ experience on managerial role in retail and wholesale industry.
- Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing / Business Studies or related discipline.
- Experience in cash and carry wholesale is an added advantage.
