Administrator- Optometry Clinic (1 Post)

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences related to Optometry field;
  • A Master’s degree would be an added advantage;
  • Two (2) years experience in administration, preferably in ophthalmology/optometry.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Eye Clinic Administrator oversees the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. This role combines administrative leadership, financial management, and staff coordination to support Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and Clinical teams in delivering exceptional eye care services.

  • Manage daily clinic operations;
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff;
  • Recruitment of clinic staff;
  • Supervising, providing guidance and coordinating trainings for clinic staff in order to ensure adherence to protocols and standards;
  • Process patients payments, manage accounts, and prepare financial reports;
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals;
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives. 

Required Skills and Attributes 

  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, procedures, and equipment;
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
