Qualifications and Experience
A Social Science Degree or a relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
At least two (2) years post qualification experience.
University experience as an added advantage.
Good organizational skills.
Be fully conversant with academic regulations and governance norms of a School in a top academic institution.
Be fully conversant with procedural cycles connected but not limited to Departments, Schools, Admissions, Examinations and Centres of Excellence.
Must have high level of computer literacy and excellent report writing skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant assists the Assistant Registrar in the duties and responsibilities outlined below:
Drafting and ensuring publication of student admission advertisement.
Assisting in the marketing of programmes on offer at Exhibition shows and Technovation Day.
Processing of Undergraduate and Postgraduate admission applications.
Liaising with School Administrators and Academic Departments on student admission.
Managing the student selection process and generating offer letters.
Managing and compilation of student admissions statistics.
Departmental budget formulation.
Servicing Academic Board, Academic Regulations Committee and any other Institute Committees as assigned.
Verification of local and foreign qualifications with awarding institutions and or ZIMCHE.
Handling and responding to admissions enquiries and queries.
Any other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Academic Affairs.
