Position Summary

We are now looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to be based in Zimbabwe.

In this role you will be responsible to ensure all Accounts Receivable (AR) activities in scope are executed in a timely manner and according to the agreed KPIs. You will also ensure excellence in the AR operations by ensuring best practices are implemented and business/internal controls are in place.

A day in the life of an Accounts Receivable Accountant:

  • Ensure account receivables processes are executed on time and with the highest level of quality.
  • This includes cash application, customer master data, credit management, held order management, process overdue (collections), deduction management, trade spend processing (credit note) and reporting activities.
  • Ensure AR reporting is generated and distributed according to the agreed periodicity and Period End Closure.
  • Manage and monitor the performance service level agreements (SLA’s) and indicators of services (KPI’s).
  • Analyse and disseminate periodic reports.
  • Drive action plans to correct deviations in services and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with business and internal controls.

What will make you successful?

  • Accounting Degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance/Source to Pay.
  • Experience using SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of accounting standards.
  • Good understanding of business processes, internal controls and the best practices & systems supporting these End-to-End processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
