Aganang Furniture’s an office furniture supplier is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to support our finance, sales, and operations departments. This is a full-time position for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, and who can balance clerical accuracy with initiative and good
interpersonal skills.
Reports To: HOD Accounting & Management and interacts with: Sales Team,
Reporting Structure:
Production Team. Suppliers, and Customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture daily financial transactions in the accounting system (Paste/Palladium/QuickBooks).
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and debtors/creditors accounts monthly.
- Generate accurate customer invoices and credit notes.
- Track customer account balances and follow up on overdue payments professionally.
- Support costing for raw materials and finished products in collaboration with management and production..
- Assist with preparing payroll inputs and liaising with HR for timely processing.
- File supporting documents (invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, etc.) in line with audit and tax standards.
- Prepare internal reports including cash flow updates, sales revenue summaries, and expenditure overviews.
- Participate in periodic stocktakes and assist in updating inventory records.
- Collect and receipt customer payments icash, mobile money, bank transfers). Liaise with ZIMRA, NSSA, and other regulatory bodies for compliance-related tasks.
- Collaborate with Sales team in compiling monthly performance and route profitability reports.
- Attend customer and supplier visits to reconcile accounts or deliver account statements where needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Experience: At least 2-3 years in a similar accounting or administrative role.
- Ideally in a manufacturing or retail environment
- Proficient in accounting software (Pastel, Palladium or similar)
- Advanced MS Excel skills (data entry templates)
- Strong understanding of VAT. PAYE, and statutory obligations in Zimbabwe
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and internal teams
- High attention to detail, integrity, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing inputs is an advantage
- Age Requirement: 26 years and above
